18th/19th September WIMAAO USA Director Paul Dyer will be holding an all styles martial arts event in North Dekota, all proceeds benefits the Roger Maris Cancer Center events will include Tai Chi, Tae Kwon, Chinese Kenpo, Iaido, Karate, jujitsu and MMA. All members and directors are welcome to participate.
15th August 2010 The Irish Kickboxing Federation and WIMAAO met in the Robinson Leisure Centre, Belfast. With a packed venue and exciting news, local clubs were happy to hear the news and the recognition of the first ever joining of a Northern and Southern Ireland governing bodies, titled "Hands Across the Border" WIMAAO and IKF will at present remain a single entity and operate under their own rules but competition between both Organizations will be brought together and promoters will now be able to use fighters from all clubs in both Organizations and compete for combined and individual championship titles.
Saturday 3rd July After a Successful meeting in Dublin between the President of The Irish Kickboxing Federation Joe Canning and WIMAAO President Nigel McClure both Organizations agreed to combine resourses and work together bringing both Northern and Southern Ireland clubs in both Organizations a larger selection of fighters and further opportunities to compete for titles in both Organizations. All Northern Ireland WIMAAO registered clubs will now be listed on the IKF website.
